What Causes Numbness/tingling From Hip To Knee While On Medication For Fibromyalgia?

I have fibromyalgia and am taking meds for it. Recently my right thigh, from my hip to my knee is often numb and tingling. I saw my Neurologist, but he didn t think it was concerning. Should I see my Internist? Could it be more than something like paresthesia?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I have studied your case and I think it can be due to either a disc herniation and nerve compression in the back or it can be due to vitamin B 12 deficiency. I would recommend you to get MRI of the spine and also serum B12 estimation.
If there is disc herniation present on MRI then treatment will depend up on stage of herniation. If it is in early stage than physiotherapy is helpful along with tablet Pregabalin and Methylcobal . If it is in latter stage than you would required disc excision surgery. It can be done either through endoscopy procedure or through mini dissectomy.
