What Causes Occasional Yellow Stool?

I am having occasional yellow stool. Just happened this morning. I am a 56 year old female in good health. I hate to think that something grave could be happening as I do not have any other symptoms. I had my gall bladder removed many years ago. As stated, this just happens occasionally.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Occasional passage of yellow stools is known to occur after cholecystectomy and has not much of clinical significance in the absence of any symptoms as you have mentioned.
If you still have doubts have the stool collection container in the toilet and get the stool examined if there is occurrence of yellow stools again. Also get the blood routine and liver and pancreatic functions checked.
Even the foods you take can change the color of the stools as well as bacterial flora imbalance too can cause such things.
So no worry at the moment unless the stool tests show anything positive.
