What Causes On And Off Sharp And Burning Pain In Abdomen?

I have pain in my stomach and am worried it might be serious. It comes and goes in different areas of my abdomen. Sometimes sharp and other times like a burning pain. I am seeing a gastroenterologist next Wednesday what can I do to alleviate my fears?

Dear- there are several reasons for stomach pain, including: gastritis,duodenitis,gastri or duodenal ulcer and esophagitis. Other atypical symptoms can be gallbladder problem, although it is typically in the right upper part of the abdomen. It is important to avoid spicy and processed food, try a bland and healthy diet and see the gastroenterologist.
