What Causes Open Wound Behind Ears?

My 7 year old has an open would where the back of her ear would connect to her head. I've been putting Bacitracian on it for a few days. I'm not seeing any improvement, but she says it has stopped itching. My daughter says this has been going on since before Christmas, but recently has started complaining about how much it hurts. Any suggestions would be apreciated.

Hello,

First, it needs to diagnose whether it is due to an insect bite or some allergic reaction or any skin condition like a fungal or bacterial infection? How it looks like and to what extent it is open? Is any fluid coming out of it, is baby feverish?

Anyhow, give her Brufen to relieve pain and fever, and start syrup Rigix thrice a day and syrup Cefim 1 teaspoon (tsp) twice a day for 5 days and watch for wound healing.
