What Causes Orange Spots At The Back Of The Throat?

Hello. The back of my throat and tonsils are orange spots and have small red vein like marks in the patches. My pain isn t that bad, just irritated. I feel like my tongue is swollen though it doesn t appear that way and my ears feel a little clogged or something though my hearing is fine. Could this be strep or just allergies? A child of mine had a fever a few days ago that only lasted one day. His tonsils are a big swollen too. I do not have a fever but only the patches.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the patches and redness you are having may be pharyngitis, inflammation and infection of pharynx. Please attach a photo of the irritation for me to see and confirm it. I think you may need to use antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
