What Causes Pain And Difficulty Swallowing After Kidney Removal?
.my husband 72yrs had 1 kidney removed due to stone 5years ago. Since then he has acute pain when he wakes in the morning and it disappears after 1hour, sometimes dull pain exists during day. Notice he has swallowing problem sometimes when he eats stuff like toasted bread. He had gone through several tests, his right leg shows addition calcium deposits and that is where the pain is. No doctor has able to give us the cause or remedy so far. He is very active, he goes for walks, does physical exercises regularly, drives a lot. Only after long drives he sometimes says he legs pain due to clutching and braking due to traffics. he also does a lot of house work. what do you suggest? Nirmala
I have gone through the medical history of your husband and understood your concerns.
The pain he is feeling in his legs is more of muscular-skeletal in origin: - damages of the joints due to calcium deposits - arthritis
I advise to get further consultation with orthopedist and to run X-ray of the pelvis joints for further evaluation. Can take OTC pain killers to reduce pain.
All the best! Dr.Albana
