What Causes Pain And Numbness Post Achilles Reconstruction?

I had a complete Achilles reconstruction last Oct. One doctor told me the heal will never get the nerve back because that type of surgery cut the major nerve. The heal is painful, numb and usually hot to touch.I had a Haglunds Deformity, bursitis. I am going to another doctor to get orthodics perscribed. Do you think it will help with my pain.

Hello,
Heel problems are difficult to treat. First because blood supply is not good. Second healing is very poor. So I would suggest you to get x ray of the feet and than you can share that x ray with me. If there is any sign of infection than it can cause such pain.
I would suggest you to start taking tablet Pregablin and Methylcobal tablet for pain relief along with hot water fomentation.
