What Causes Pain And Stiffness On The Shoulder And Neck?

I tweaked my upper back earlier today when walking my dog and he jerked his leash. I m experiencing pain/stiffness on the left side of my upper back/shoulder and neck. The stiffness/pain is getting worse, it hurts to stand up for very long and I can t keep my head straight. Would icing and stretching be recommended? Should I lay down?

Hi,

There is a stiffness in the shoulder muscle. It leads to pain and stiffness. Icing and stretching may be useful. but don't overstretch. Take tablet ibuprofen for relieving pain and swelling.
