What Causes Pain And Swelling In Leg?

i am 76 years young and my right leg aches and feels tight and swollen but doesn't look it. it goes as far down as my foot. I have RLS and take a med for that. I also had my left hip replaced 2 years ago but that has been checked out and all is well there. Other than that I am perfectly healthy. Any ides why? Or if I were to go to a specialist which would it be?

Hello and thanks for your question. First you need to see a doctor today to make sure that you do not have a blood clot in your leg. When one leg is swollen and tight the first thing to do is make sure there is not a blood clot in it. If you can not see your doctor today then you need to go to Emergency. If it is not a blood clot then you could see your orthopedist about the pain and discomfort. Good luck to you and get your leg checked today.
