What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Knee?

Hi, I seem to have a "swollen" joint at the ankle end of the 5th metatarsal. It is very painful, especially when walking, but it aches even when resting. I am a very well controlled insulin dependant diabetic. Could this be tumour, an ulcerated joint or arthritis? I would respect your views as to what I should do.

Thanks for your question ,
first of all If It is localized swelling You should do Do MRI ANKLE to know its and plain x ray to exclude bony lesion and to know the nature and extent of any soft tissue lesion .diagnostic Aspiration may be helpful if it is localized tense swelling

If it' s diffuse swelling so I will advice you to receive anti-oedematous medication and also recieve NSAID for the pain .also elevate your limb all the the time

Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
