What Causes Pain At The Highest Point Of Hamstring?
Hello- I slipped and fell on a slick surface about a year ago - it seemed ok for a while, but lately I have noticed a dull ache at the highest point of the hamstring. i started paying attention to what might be causing the ache - i noticed when i stand up after sitting in the floor it seemed to irritate the hamstring. i can also feel the ache when i am on my feet at work - it is definitely more pronounced when i powerwalk. i wear z coil shoes with sorbothane inserts and medical grade silicone inserts for shock absorption. Help!
Hello, I have studied your case and I think that there might be some torn fibres or fluid collection in the hamstring. It is still not healed properly. I would recommend you to get MRI of the thigh to find out what is condition of healing at present. If MRI shows that there is some fluid collection in the thigh at hamstrings origin then you can get steroid injection in the thigh at that position. I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
