My 87 year old mother has been complaining of pain on her right side of her body. The pain is radiating from just below her breast down to waist line. Her doctor has had chest x-rays, cat scan with contrast(2 each, one of chest area, one of lower abdomen area). We went to emergency room last night and they took 4-6 tubes of blood, urine sample, and ekg. They cannot find anything in any of the tests. She does not have a gall bladder, or appendicts. She has a history of diverticulitus (having 18 inches of intestines removed 10+ years ago). They gave her naproxen 250 mg and it is not helping her pain. Do you have any ideas as to what could be causing this pain?
