What Causes Pain Below The Sternum And Mid Back Along With Vomiting?

About an hr ago I had pain just below my sternum and across my back at same level. Took 1 aspirin(325mg). Went to bathroom and almost vomited (drool/gag). Laid on bed , Lamaze breathing. Felt better after 20-30 min. Fitbit HR= 72 during this time. 65 yo female

I understand your concern.
Pain below sternum and mid back following intake of aspirin are due to symptoms suggestive of gastric mucosal irritation.
Hence, with this you had a bout of vomiting.
Drink good quantities of water and consume citrus fruit juices to get better relief. Avoid intake of gastric mucosal irritant foods such as oily and spicy foods.
Kindly take liquid antacids before taking aspirin, which will help you to prevent such episodes.
