What Causes Pain Due To Red Line Going Up The Entire Arm?

My 14 yr old son has a red line going up his arm. From his finger to shoulder. There is no open wound or cut. But a lot of pain. Won t bend his arm or shoulder a certain way. This is the second time this has happened in the last 4 months. It is not the same spot but it is the same arm. Can you help us?

Hello. I just read through your question.
Sight unseen, what you describe sounds like cellulitis. This is a skin infection. If untreated, it can spread to the bone. It is very important that you consult with your doctor so that antibiotic treatment can be started.
