Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr, I currently have pain when i m pooping, peeing and i have pain when passing gas. This started about 1.5 days ago. I have sever pain when i do any of these three things. I m expecting a hernia or something to do with my prostate but when i m only 22 could this be a possibility?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Pain while passing motion, urination and even gases can be due to one of the following reasons: Since you are only 22 years old the most probable cause can be prostatitis. Abscess in rectum or anal canal can manifest in the same way. I would advise you the following in such a case: Consult a General Surgeon for per-rectal digital palpation. Tests blood urine and stool. Ultrasound of whole abdomen along with for prostate. Medical management to start with. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. If abscess develops, it may need drainage.
