What Causes Pain During Intercourse Post Hysterectomy?

I had a complete hysterectomy 8 weeks ago. I was told by my doctor I could resume sex at 6 weeks post op. The first attempt at that 6 week mark, I had bleeding and we didn t finish. I tried again a week later. I had some bleeding but not bad. I tried again today at 8 weeks post surgery, I had spotting but the sex is painful. It feels as if my cervix is still there. Is this normal?

I think that your healing is taking a bit normal than expected. But the is nothing to worry about. Once the healing is completed, you should be fine.
