What Causes Pain During Urination And Frequent Urge To Urinate?

Ihad a urine infection about 3 weeks ago had tablets for it from my doctor, it did not go away so my doctor sent my urine to the hospital to grow a culture, it came back negative, i still have the symtoms urge to urinate all the time horrible sensation goes through my body when i pass urine pain in the bottom of my stomach i am 71yrs thankyou jo.

As per your history, ideally urine culture should be done before starting antibiotics. I think it may be recurrent infection or incomplete recovery. Kindly consult with urologist for detailed examination. Drink lot of fluids. You can take tablet Flavoxanate after consultation. you may require ultrasound abdomen and pelvis after consultation.
