What Causes Pain From Knees To Foot?

Hi I am a 60 year old women. I am fit and exercise 4 to 5 days a week. I suffer with pain coning down the side of my leg and into my knees. Sometimes the pain is so bad I can t lift my leg off the bed. Sometimes the pain travels into my foot and I get a painful cramping or pins and needles sensation. Yet this does not prevent my exercising or leg movement. What can I do.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you might be having disc herniation. It is causing nerve compression and that leads to pain which is radiating from hip to leg, knee.
I will offer you following steps.
1.Tablet Pregabalin M one daily.
2.Back muscle strengthening exercises.
3.Avoid forward bending or sudden weight lifting.
4.Volitran ointment and hot water fomentation.
I hope these steps will help you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks
