What Causes Pain In Abdomen With Belching?

Hi, my father is having stomach problems for the last 6-7 months. He is having a lot of belches. Sometimes continuous and it becomes very uneasy and nerving. He is also not being able to sleep properly. This has given him a lot of mental tension not now he feels heavy chest sometimes and feels panicked. Please help.

Hi,

This can be due to inflammatory bowel disease, gastritis.

He needs to take light meals and avoid all those foods which likely cause gases and belching that he may be well aware of.

Ask him also to avoid smoking, alcohol if he is having that and also avoid foods causing belching and acidity. Ask him to take tablet pantoprazole. However, if symptoms continue then take him to the emergency room for further evaluation.
