What Causes Pain In Abdomen With Vomiting?

Hello there. Have been up with my 8 yr old daughter all night. About an hour after eating calamari last night, she started projectile vomiting. Once her stomach emptied she was throwing up bile but then suddenly after about 5 hours of this she threw up a fairly large amount (2cups?) of brown/black lumpy fluid. Her stomach continues to hurt; she has a temp of 101; but hasn't vomited for about 4 hours. Wondering whether I need to take her to ER or just keep a close eye on her for now with electrolyte fluids. Thanks so much.

Hello,

If this is the severe symptom of vomiting like projectile vomiting, brown color vomit, then it has to be taken for investigation to rule out the cerebral pathologies.

Such symptoms cannot be taken as granted underlying cause of vomiting matters the great, it is most advisable to see the ER for observation, and a head injury could be the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
