What Causes Pain In Ankle Upon Flexion?

After my work out today (nothing hurt during workout) after I sat for awhile my ankle felt like it was stuck and needed to pop. I rotated it a bit and walked. The more I walked the more it hurt. Hurts when I try to flex it up but not when I point it down.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got sprain your ankle . It hurts to move your ankle in dorsiflexion but not in planterflexion. You can walk but with more pain. Its treatment is rest to part(immobilization). Putting ice is useful . Analgesic such as diclofenac will be of use for pain. You can take vitamin B-complex and C to promote healing. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
