What Causes Pain In Anus Area After Anal Fistula Surgery?

hi doctor I would like to inform you that I got anal fistula surgery 8 years back and I got well and later sometimes I was feeling little pain in anas area and inside and ouside but there is not bleeding and puss so when I sit on hard place and regular two hours or more than I got little pain so I have beore some chronic ibs problem like suddenly going to toilet and if I eat more spicy I go to toilet tree or four times and cramping bloating so I am taking librocol tablet for 8 month now feeling better but anas pain is still not much but irritation and inflammation so now doctor advise me to put cream procto glyven I am applying this but little reliefe,so please advise to get rid of anas pain tnx sheeraz

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of anal fistula surgery 8 years back, gets pain on siting for too long, have IBS like picture, spicy food increases the frequency of stool, with cramping and bloating. Feeling better with Librocol being taken for 8 months, procto Glycen cream without much relief.
Such a problem is a part of IBS or descending perineal syndrome or ano-proctitis.
I would advise you the following:
A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole for 5 days.
Continue probiotics and multi-vitamins for a long time.
Investigations like colonoscopy, biopsy and CT scan of the abdomen help to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
