What Causes Pain In Arm, Swollen Arm And Numbness In Leg?

I just flew in from London to Chicago a couple of days ago. I woke up today with pain in my arm (like muscle soreness), swollen hand (left hand and left arm) and numbness in my left leg. My leg also feels cold. I have to get up and walk to feel better. I can t sit for long periods at a time. This came on suddenly. I have never experienced this before. What could it be?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to a stroke or to a bulging disc in the cervical vertebral column. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam, a brain and cervical spine MRI study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
