What Causes Pain In Calf Muscles In Case Of Metatarsal Fracture?

I had a 3rd metatarsal fracture on my left foot 1 week ago. I was in a heavy partial cast till yesterday and everything was fine. Yesterday the OS replaced my cast with the light-weight cast. A few hours after returning home, my leg hurts - calf muscles have pain like I have walked long distances, balls of my feet is sore, sole in sore and my knee has started to hurt. I also feel constantly hot inside my cast and have slight perspiration (like cold sweat) throughout my body. Is this normal?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got 3rd metatarsal fracture on your left feet . After applying light weight plaster you got problem of pain in calf and foot.In my personnel experience these light weight casts are less comfortable than traditional POP cast.Get checked by your doctor what is happening is not normal.
