Hello, My Dad of age 60, doesn't have diabetics, sugar problem. He has high uric acid problem, recently he is feeling pain in upper chest and including the areas of throat and neck after even a mild walk. He does perform small sessions of very basic yoga. Any thing real wrong?

Chest, neck, and throat pain associated with even mild activity could be a sign of a heart problem like angina, which could eventually result in a heart attack. He needs to be seen promptly and have an EKG and stress test to rule this out. High uric acids levels or gout have been associated with ischemic heart disease (blocked blood vessels to the heart decreasing blood flow). Encourage him to get to his doctor soon. Hope this answers your query.
