What Causes Pain In Hand After An Accidental Fall?
Toddler fell down wrongly on her hand- wrest. No swelling appeared and she is able to move her hand freely. The problem is that from time to time she complaints of her hand pain. There have been 3 days since she fell. Could it be some muscle or nerve stretched wrongly? We do not wish her to expose to xrays.
Hi.... by what you Quote I feel that she might have sprained the wrist joint but at the same time as the kid has not developed sudden acute large swelling over the wrist joint it is unlikely to be a fracture. You can try giving her some Ibuprofen at 10 MG per KG per dose every 8 hourly. This will reduce her pain and may set things right. Regards - Dr. Sumanth
