What Causes Pain In Hip And Leg After An Injury?

Was playing football yesterday and tried to make a 180 degree turn while running. Foot got stuck in a ditch. Heard and felt a pop and had sharp pain. Excruciating pain since then. Walking with a limp. Can t lift leg. Pain on inside of hip and lower back, bone in butt hurts, pain when trying to sit, walk, or lay down. Bruising on outside of hip. Foot is turning out and pain is experienced when turning foot in. Any idea what I could have done?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I think you got fracture neck or trochantric region of femur. You need to do your x-ray done to confirm it . In our institute treatment of this fracture is operative by cancellous screw fixation or by DHS depending upon pattern of fracture.Analgesic such as ibuprofen are useful for pain relieving. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
