What Causes Pain In Knuckles And Palm?

Hi, my knuckles in my fingers have been hurting for a few mths,, and now I feel a sharpened pain in my palms as well. Ive always worked out and my 73 yr old mother has rheumatoid arthritis in her hands. My Dr saw no evidence of arthritis via xray and blood work.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

If you have pain and numbness of the hand you may be having carpal tunnel syndrome. This can be checked by nerve conduction studies. Consult a Neurologist. Do get back to me if you have further questions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Noble Zachariah, Internal Medicine Specialist
