What Causes Pain In Left Upper Region?

i m a 37 yrs male. i 5 fit 10 inch long and weigh 85 kg. i have a chronic oesophagitis for the last 2-3 yrs. i m taking medicine for bp for the last 1 yr, earlier one doctor advised me take embeta st 25 now 15 days back i m advised to take s numlo . i m taking pantocid dsr with prothioden 25 mg for the last 3 yrs since i have been diagonised with oesopagitis. i usually find pain in my left upper region...please suggest whats that and what should i do

Hi,

As you are having chronic esophagitis, hence in your case it may be due to chronic gastritis or duodenitis as a result of increased production of acid. Hence, treatment of this pain should be the treatment of hyperacidity in your case. The change in life style like avoiding alcohol, spicy and chilly food etc., may be beneficial. Any infection with H. Pylori should be looked for and should be treated, if present.
