What Causes Pain In Lower Abdomen Radiating To Lower Back?
Hi, I just got my urine analysis done this morning, since I had to rush to the clinic with some discomfort (feeling tight) at my lower abdomen (front side) and the pain also went to the lower back on the left side. I wasn't sure if that is just constipation or as the report did show today that the RBC is over 50 / hpf. I have been advised to get an ultrasound done. Pls suggest if you suspect it to be a stone (I had a ureter stone 5 years back) or is it just due to constipation and probably some urinary infection? Regards, DS

Presence of 50 RBS/hpf with radiating abdomen pain to back, warrants presence of underlying calculus in the urinary tract rather than simple Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).
You must undergo ultrasound to decide further course of action.
