What Causes Pain In Lower Back Despite Having Muscle Relaxants?

66 yrs old ,and sometimes have pain in my lower back or shoulder I have always had pain sometimes for years, maybe muscles spasms ? I use to take muscle relaxers or use a tents machine, now I use Lidocaine patches 5% I don t lift heavy things. my body is very flexible. the pain last about three days and then I feel sore. what is your opinion ? Thanks

Hi,
fromj history it seems that there might be having some degenerative changes in spines giving pinched nerve pressure giving this problem.
There might be having some osteoporosis contributing this back pain.
Go for x-ray spines for osteoporosis and spondilitis changes.
go for physiotherapy like back extension exercises.
Take calcium, vitamin A and D supplements.
Go for slow walking exercise.
Ok, and take care.
