What Causes Pain In Mouth With Redness And Intermittent Fever?

My 4 yr old son complains of pain in his mouth, the dentist found nothing wrong. It got worse, lots of redness, he has an off and on fever and does not want to eat or drink. One doctor thinks it might be herpes and prescribed Acyclovir. I just wanted a second opinion, thanks so much.

Apply Candid oral gel on the site.
If require she might require one course of antibiotic medicine.
Give her B.complex syrup for some time.
