What Causes Pain In Nape During Smoking?

My nape hurts when I inhale a drag off of my cigarette. This is the first time it s happened. It s possible that it s not a direct cause of smoking, so what other factors should I consider? I am quite stressed out right now because of exams (I am a university student) and catching up with paperwork. Why is this happening?

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
