General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

If you getting pain under your ribs when you breath and sharp stabbing pain in your shoulders might be related to possible pulmonary problems. I'd advise to go and seen your doctor to exclude possible complication.

If everything is ok, then, it might be related to bronchitis. Meanwhile, you can increase fluids intake (water, juice, tea, soups) and take acetaminophen for the pain.

I also advise to take mucolytics if you are coughing with phlegm.

Wish fast recovery!
