What Causes Pain In Shin After Falling?

i fell and hit my shin really hard... causing a 4 inch goose egg immediately, serve pain. 12 hours later the goose egg bump in gone but the pain is very serve and it has a huge burning sensation every time i move my leg. I have high pain tolerance. I took some 600 mg of iberpone immediately after i did it and every four hours. could there be something wrong or is it just the nerves i damaged?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain in shin after falling along with formation of a goose egg and burning seems to be due to soft tissue injury..
The swelling or goose egg seems to be due to inflammation of soft tissues secondary to injury that is leading to accumulation of inflammatory exudate and cells into the area of injury..
As of now it does not look like nerve damage and most probably seems to be soft tissue injury..
I would suggest you to continue taking Ibuprofen..
Do cool compresses over the area of injury..
You can also apply analgesic gel containing Diclofenac..
Elevate your leg while lying down..
In case if it does not improve in a week, consult an Orthopedician and get evaluated..
