What Causes Pain In Shoulder Radiating Into The Neck?

I have not had an injury or slept funny or anything like that but for the last couple of days i have had pain in my left shoulder radiating into my neck. The only way I can describe it is like toothache but in my shoulder. I am 22, female and overweight

This is an unusual age for such pain but seeing the obesity it may be idiopathic (non-specific) and just try ibuprofen 400 thrice a day after meals for 3-5 days and wait for response
