Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
At the end of October I had pain/stinging down my sides under my arm. 3 weeks ago I was told I had a very bad chest infection and was given an antibiotic to clear up. I had to go back to the doctor a week later and I was diagnosed with labyrithitis. Although the dizziness has gone I don t feel any better. The pain/stinging is still there and I am getting pain in my stomach and a sore back which comes and goes. Thanks
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to gastritis. Pleural inflammation can not be excluded either. I would like to know if the pain is related to the food intake. This would be indicative of gastritis. Is the pain triggered by deep breathing or coughing? This would indicate a possible local inflammation. You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues and on the possibility of performing further tests (a chest X-ray study, complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation, etc).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
