What Causes Pain In The Biceps?

i am 64 years old male contractor and i am experiencing pain in my biceps , not chronic but difinitily uncomfortable. my md thinks its arthritis but it has come on in last 3 months and does not look like it is going away , hopefully not getting worse

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If pain is persistent better to go for an MRI scan. Arthritis is unlikely as it affect joints and not muscle as such. You can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain relief.
