What Causes Pain In The Leg And Feet When Diagnosed With Diabetes?

I'm 46 and was just recently diagnosed as a diabetic. I've been having a tremendous amount of leg and feet pain, numbness, tingling, and stabbing pain shooting from the bottom of my feet up my legs. I'm also a nurse and I'm on my feet 12 to 16 hours a day. Well this morning I woke up and turned over and I was dizzy, and light headed. My blood sugar is 210.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, I have gone through your given history and I could say that high level of blood sugar could cause the pain that you have, if this is being recently detected the high blood sugar level and it is the confirmed diabetes then it has to be managed on thigh rule basis, with anti-diabetic drugs, but with that life style changes would be equally important, exercise would be helpful too, once the blood sugar comes under control symptoms of muscular pain and other pain condition will comes to normal, cut down the calorie in diet, hope this information helps.
