What Causes Pain In The Lower Back And Discomfort In The Leg?
Hi. For a long time now I have been experiencing pain in my lower back which seems to be mainly caused from sitting down for long periods of time (at work etc). When I lie down on my back I notice that the resting position of my right leg is turned out. I have the sensation that my entire right leg is turning outwards starting from the hip area. I was wondering if you recognise these symptoms? They don t sound severe when you write them down but I suffer with regular back and hip pain because of this and it is really impeding my working life in particular.
Though clinical examination is must proceed for the particular emphasis of this issue, there can be nerve compression involving lower lumbar spinal region giving issues with lower back pain and discomfort right leg.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
