Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

The lump you have on your tailbone could be a pilonidal cyst.
From description it seems to be infected. If it becomes infected, however, it will cause pain, inflammation and usually drainage of fluids. So I would suggest getting this evaluated by a doctor for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You might require proper drainage and antibiotic cover.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
