What Causes Pain In The Pelvis After A Hip Replacement Surgery?

I have had a right hip replacement surgery and three hip revision surgeries since. I live on painkillers which mostly help with the pain. Recently, I am experiencing constant toothache like pain in the right hip/pelvis area. I am also feeling very lethargic and no matter how much sleep I get, I am always tired. Should I be concerned or is it just the changes in the weather or something. I ve not gone through anything like this before, but I will soon be 65 so maybe it s just a sign of aging. But I ve never experienced this kind of tiredness before. I m usually able to go all day and now I just don t feel like doing anything. Any help would be welcome!

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The pain could be coming from the hip, but the fatigue could have many causes. It could be from the pain medication. It could be from anemia or a thyroid condition. You need a physical exam and some blood tests to find the cause of the fatigue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
