Why Having Occasional Crackling Noises In Knee After Hip Replacement?

Although I have had occasional grinding, crackling noises from my right knee, after my hip replacement surgery about two months ago, my exercise routine, which includes a slight squat, routinely causes this rather loud noise. I think that my hip (or bursitis) pain has caused me to alter my gait, and has caused my knee to become painful. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hello,

I have studied your case.

Usually such kind of noise are due to friction of implant surfaces.Noise is more if ceramic implant are used.
Do not worry about it.

DO NOT IGNORE INFECTION IN POST ThR .
You may need to investigate like CRP ,CBC,ESR if infection is suspect
PCR culture is very useful to find culprit organismed clinically.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
