What Causes Pain In The Perineum?

I am 70 now
During the night I wake with an increasing dull pain on left side roughly between Virginia and anus as though there is pressure it steadily increases. Getting up and walking around for 20 minutes it seems to lessen and go away
Seems to come about every two months or so
No sexual intercourse these days
Am bit overweight but reasonable active. No children
Hysterectomy 23 yearsago
I get very hot and bothered for no reason during the night and day. Cannot connect it to anything in particular. Dr seems to assume I am still menapausal
What do you think please
Elaine
