General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. As you having pain in chest as well as arm it is better to do an ECG(EKG) and TMT test to rule out cardiac chest pain. If that is clear then your problem can be most likely due gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). In that case I would suggest taking proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole for 2 to 4 weeks. You can also take antacid syrups like Gaviscon in acute period of pain. If there is no improvement after 1 month then a consultation with Gastroenterologist should be done.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
