What Causes Pain In The Right Side Of The Stomach?

My daughter has side pain on the right side. The doctor checked her appendix, colon and other organs but they do not seem to be the problem. She has had it for over a month now and we ve been to five different drs. And got five different answers. She has had blood tests, CT scan and MRI and ultrasound.She has to have a second one in Apr. She can t walk or sit without being in pain. Sometimes its so bad she leaves school b/c she is in so much pain. I askwd the gyn if it could be fibroids and was told no cuz her ultrasound showed nothing so she doesn t know why she is having pain on her right side. She said there was a cyst but it was on her left. Could that be causing her pain on the right ? That is what we were told.

Dear- thanks for your question , I reviewed it in detail and will give you my medical advise. I understand that it is very frustrating to have a pain with multiples workups and no diagnose. There are multiples possibilities including gas,diverticulosis,intestinal spasm like irritable bowel movement,megacolon or colon inflammation.I don't have your daughter's age which is very important in terms of the conditions that are more frequent according to the age . You did not mention if she had a colonoscopy . Her left side cyst should not be giing her a right side pain. I recommend you to see a gastroenterologist to consider a colonoscopy for better visualization of the area. If your daughter is an adult, she might need a hysterosalpingogram to evaluate the genital tract too.
