What Causes Pain In The Xiphoid Process?

I m 22 female, and have pain in my xiphoid process. There is no bumb, just tenderness and sometimes it feels distended or tight (as if I have rock hard abs there. which I don t). My pulse is usually always high (90s-100s) and I get dehydrated often. Just came back from the doctors, but still waiting on the bloodwork. Suggestions on what it could be?
