What Causes Pain In Upper Back That Radiates To Chest?

Hello, Last Past two days had pain in upper back region which happen to radiate around chest and ribs and today my daughter noticed a very large butterfly bruise (about 10 inches wide) across my back. Could a simple strain cause this or could this be related to prior Cervical 4-5-6-7 surgery?

Dear patient
This might be due to herpes zoster infection. It is the resurgence of chockenpox virus when your immunity is decreased. U have severe pain in back and chest area for around 10 days and after that you get rash with blisters in same area. Take tablet acyclovir 500mg 4 times a day for 10 days. Apply clobet GM locally to relieve pain and inflammation.rash will take time to disappear but you will be fine.
