What Causes Pain In Wrist Of Left Hand?

I have wrist pain in my left hand. my age 60, Doctor said it is de quervain s disease by testing my thumb movement. prescribed Reparil Dragees, Mobic 15 mg and Mobilat N cream. Said use for 7 days if not improved I will be injected in wrist. After 7 days I went back to Doc. he again tested by thumb movement, there was no pain but a very small or tease like feeling in thumb. He said no need to inject

it looks to me that you are having inflammation of tendon sheaths most probably of thumb.. It is also called as Dequervain's teno synovitis. In this disease there is pain on movements specially which you have described.
Other possibilities of pain in hand are wrist synovitis and carpel tunnel. But these two conditions are painful during rest also . So I think this is not there in your case. For confirmation you need to see an orthopaedic doctor. He can examine you and confirm it. I do not think x ray will be needed.
Treatment is analgesics, splinting and steroid injection at tendon sheath.
