What Causes Pain On Left Side Across The Hip Bone?

Hi, I ve had this pain/enlarged feeling on the left side right directly a cross my hipbone. It s not a sharp pain, it sort of feels enlarged or almost like bruised. I am a diabetic type 1 so I m concerned it could be serious. What possibly could it be? What organ is there?

This could be diverticulitis--an inflammation and infection of a small pouch in the left colon.

You need to have a doctor evaluate this with an exam, blood work and a ct scan of the abdomen and it's treated with a course of two different antibiotics
